Default Yoko A032R vs. Toyo RA1

What do you guys think? I currently drive on RA1's every day, and was wondering how the A032R's compare. I drive the hell out of my car, and I am looking for a tire that I won't have to change when I go to track events.

I have been very pleased with the RA1's. They have actually lasted longer (about 10-12K miles/set) and performed better than some of the big $$ Ultra High Performance Street Tires I have used. How are the A032R's??

Thanks....

?: How are the RA1's in the rain? Live in Houston, so it's something that I encounter often

The RA1's are really good in the rain if you have more than half the tread depth. (Full tread depth, they are incredible) Once they get below 1/2 tread depth, they quickly start to become a handful. But in the dry, fun, fun, fun.

Mine are worn down to the wear indicators, so whenever it looks like rain, I take my other car.

HTH....

Default The only size I see for the S4 is a 235/45-17 and not the 235/40-17

I sent Toyo an e-mail to see if the 40 series is or will become available anytime soon.

Default A032Rs

I use them for track only. They last about 6 track days and are NOISY as hell but they stick pretty well. I don't like them as much as Gen 1 BFG R-1s but they don't make them anymore.

Regards,
Mike O.

Default You must really be scorching them out there Mike...

only 6 track days! I've got 12 on my Kumhos and still have maybe 2 left. Then again, you know me, I drive like a blue-hair. :^)
