Anyone know anything about the HD camcorder - Samsung HMX20C?
I think Im a compulsive buyer but Ill do my part to help the economy. I was in the market for one but I went to Sears and the deal was too hard to pass. I knew a little about this model and I know it just came out. Wonder if anyone else has one...
Main reason I bought it was for my Jackson Hole trip next week...ohhh the freshies.

http://www.engadgethd.com/2008/06/17/samsung-sc-hmx20c-hd-camcorder-review/</a

I worked as a videographer for C-SPAN for 2 years covering the NH primary...
I'd say, in GENERAL, go with a canon... but what are you looking for exactly? What is important to you? Size? Storage? Picture Quality?

If I were you I'd look into the Canon Vixia HF10
I've owned 2 Canon's the GL2 and the HG10 and I have been very happy with both. The HF10 received better reviews than the HMX20C, that said the HMX20C still appears to be a strong contender.

2nd the Canon Vixia. The entry level Vixia is about 800.00 and its ..
got some amazing consumer camera features normally found is pro rigs.
24 fps Film Mode is a must for me. The Vixia has it as well as what most average joes would want from a HD camera.
Not sure is it has slo mo in HD though...which can be a wonderful tool for car vids and any sports or action related sequences.
