Autozone does loan the caliper tool... (follow up to prior post)
I went to Autozone in Bloomfield (it's on my way home from work). Picked up brake fluid, brake cleaner, anti-sieze, anti-squeal. Brought it to the counter and said, "Your web site says you loan tools. Do you have the brake caliper tool?"
No problem! $35 deposit on the credit card.
Used it last night - so smooth. No other way to do it. Working on cars is nice when you have the right tools!

Previous Post

So as I said before...
You might as well just keep it, since I'm sure they charge more for that kit (if it's even sold to the public) than the $35 deposit. Although I would have paid in cash so they can't track you down. Work the system...

I'd rather buy it from Harbor Frieght for $19.95 and be able to show my face
in Autozone.
I think it is nice of them to loan it out. I don't want to penalize them for offering a good service.
And what about the next guy who comes in to Autozone to borrow it?
Bad Karma, man ;-)
