B5 A4 Suspension help
New to posting, but I have been reading for years.
Working on restoring my 2000 A4 1.8t wagon with 100k.
Just added 17" wheels getting chipped next week. Which brings me to the suspension. Started with stock non sport, currently have Audi sport springs with Neuspeed Bilstein adjustable strut.
I have had this setup on the car for the last 4 years. Not bad, but not great.
I have read everything suspension related on AW but still not sure what to do, there are so many conflicting opinions. Wanted to get the opinion of people who drive this car on NE roads. I am sure you have heard this all before but, I want a well balanced suspension that makes the car fun to drive but not punishing on bad roads and long trips. I have considered the Shine Racing suspension but not that much feed back on it. Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated.

i run bilstein hd with stock springs and h-sports bars.....
this is plenty stiff for me in NH. i had the audi euro sports springs with the neu/bilstein sports for a couple of years but ground the front anti-roll bar chassis mounts off from bottoming. if the shine springs are stiffer than stock i don't think i could use them on a daily driver.

I am running the Koni/Vogtland shock/spring combo from PureMS
lowers the car a bit more from OEM sport but is much better than OEM sport. I would go with this suspension set up for a daily driver.

I have Eibach ProStreet S coilovers (love them) with stock sport sways...
The Eibachs are not adjustable, but I feel they are tuned perfect for an upgraded street car. Very smooth on the horrible roads around me. Gone to NYC and snowboarding in VT with them. Never had anyone comment on the ride being jarring or harsh. They are much less bouncy and reactive than my stock sports were. You notice high speed inputs are a bit harsher and tighter feeling, like a little undulation under one tire or a pothole or manhole cover. 99% of the time they are as smooth or smoother than stock on town roads and highway stuff.
Also the "S" means stainless. Which is big for us NE folk!!
Looking to get the H-Sports eventually, by far the best sways for our cars because of the subframe reinforcement brackets.

Got them from avalon.
A few guys from AW have them and love them. I got them from a groupbuy last October. If you search there was alot of info about them in those posts.<ul><li><a href="http://www.avalonmotorsports.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_26_51 &products_id=119">Eibach coilovers</a></li></ul>

Bil's are nice but I really like the Koni. I've got them on the 911 and now the
Audi. I've found in the past the Bil's can be harsh over certain bumps but I think the reality is either way, Koni or Bilstein you can't go wrong, they are the best IMO.
