Course 1:

#1 is the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course, yes?

Pretty nice course. Felt much easier than the course rating (~74 iirc) would indicate. Apparently Stanley Thompson was a bunker-happy guy.

#1 is Fairmont Banff Springs, #2 is Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge

Default Damn, I was just going to guess one of the other Fairmont courses...

but I was thinking the Riverside at Hot Springs.

Default Yeah, the chateau in the background was the tell-tale...

could not decide if it was the par-5 7th or the par-5 18th (both dog-leg right long holes)

The pic is from the 7th since the 18th faces away from the chateau. I birdied the 18th when I sank the longest putt I've ever made in my short (3mos so far) golfing career.

Default Haha. Yes post should have been marked OT. But to me race track is a "track" and a golf course...

is a "course" although you could use either name for either one of them because golfers often refer to a golf course as a "track".
