Default NAAC Winter Driving School #2 registration is open!

As posted elsewhere, the North Atlantic Audi Club is holding winter schools at Team O'Neils facility in Littleton, NH this season on the weekends of Jan 23/24 and Feb 26/27 - and registration for the Feb 6/7 weekend is now open.

Note that the Feb 6/7 school will be held at Team O'Neils NEW north facility that includes a much larger skid pad(220 feet) and exercise area.

I know, Quattro really gives one confidence driving in slippery conditions, but unless you've actually attended a winter school you'll never realize what tires, Quattro, or any car (or SUV, minivan, etc) can (and more importanly can not) do in the snow. The NAAC Winter Driving Schools teach drivers in their own vehicles (we've even had a couple share a Ford F-350! and they had a ball) how to drive better in snow. These two-day schools include a classroom session covering the vital fundamentals of winter driving, including the finer points of accelerating, braking, weight transfer, and steering on ice and snow. The bulk of the school takes place on a closed facility at Team O'Neil's Car Control Center in Dalton, New Hampshire, specially designed for winter driving instruction. Experienced instructors offer direction as students pilot their own vehicles through a proven curriculum that includes obstacle courses designed to simulate real-world accident avoidance, including emergency steering, braking and skid control. Participants will gain invaluable winter driving experience and improve their ability to react quickly and confidently to real-world driving situations frequently encountered in winter driving.

We are thrilled to have the headquarters for these events at two wonderful hotels. The January (23-24) and late February (26-27) schools will be headquartered at the Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa again this year. This is an amazing resort and we have negotiated a great rate for our event. For the February (6-7) school, the headquarters will be at the Spalding Inn located a half-mile from the Mountain View Grand and we have very favorable rates at both locations for the February (6-7) school. If you would like to stay at either the Mountain View Grand Hotel or the Spalding Inn for any of the schools, please call them IMMEDIATELY upon receiving confirmation of your registration. Instructions for getting the NAAC rate will be in your confirmation email. There are a very limited number of spaces available on a first come, first serve basis and they will likely sell out quickly.

Visit NAAC registration to sign up! Registration is open for the January (23-24), February (6-7) and Late February (26-27) schools.

Don't take our word for how much fun and eduaction the NAAC Winter Schools are, ask around in the forums - I'm sure plenty of people will tell you! These schools are perfect for the novice driver(even someone who only has their permit but is comfortable driving) to gain both the understanding and confidence to drive in the snow and properly assess/correct the skids that will occur.
I look forward to seeing you there!
