Only 3 days on snow (skiing/riding) so far this year... lame. How about you guys?

If you live that close, buy a pass.
Locals don't pay the bills. They mostly just complain a lot. Tourists are the primary demographic for any mtn.
Not really sure what you're looking for from ktown. It sounds like you expect them to build the mountain taller or change the laws of physics to allow snow to fall at 45f. No day ticket price is ever going to male either of those things happen.

No, the point is, since nothing has changed in 20 years on the mountain...
where's the impetus to pay almost 3 times the money for a lift ticket, for the same crappy service, the same crappy trails?
All I'm saying is, $80 is just plain not worth it..

A real lot has changed in those 20yrs
Most of ktown's lifts are new in the last ~20yrs, the snow making capacity has increased about 10-fold, and the trail count has gone up considerably.
Meanwhile, the cost of energy has gone through the roof, and the cost of living (and thus, employee wages) has gone up as well.
I agree that $82/day isn't worth it to me. That said, even at those prices, the mountains are only just barely breaking even. There isn't some team of evil, money-grubbing suits laughing their way to the bank.

I actually started doing 1/4 squats after about 4 weeks.......
Although I've been weight training since age 16 and my ACL surgery was in 2002 at the age of 36. Keep up with the rehab and hit the weights hard when you are about 4-5 months about. you'll be just fine for next season.

Other than the K1, and naming a few 20 foot long trails, what's new?
I realize I'm being very negative, but, I've been skiing at Killington since I was a kid, and I've not seen a lot of change. Superstar was there when I was in college (18 years ago). I have never once ridden the gondola up from Route 4. I know there's a new chair up where the old gondola was, but I never go over there.
But mostly, I think I'm just bored by the whole process. It's more of a PITA to me than it's fun.
