Some pics from this last weekend at Fort Ticonderoga NY and drive in VT...
So this weekend, I was "forced" into taking the beast to a Rev War reenactment at Fort Ticonderoga in upstate NY. I had planned on taking my wife's Honda Pilot because of all the stuff I needed to haul, but because of her "maintenance required" light coming on Thursday night, needless to say, I was not going to take the truck on a long drive until I could get it checked out.
So, I packed up the 4.2, and Junior Driver and myself headed up to Fort Ti.
Not many pics on the jouney up, since I was racing the darkness on Friday evening (sorry Mr. Hansen, we did not meet in VT on my way through). Here we arrived at camp, and had our tent setup (sorry for the blurry pic)...

In the morning, this is what the camp looked like...

...and I wonder if they make these multi-spoke wheels with the proper offset to clear HP2 calipers???

And this is what my license plate looked like, I think the Xenons act as a bug light, and the front end of my car takes 'em out! Anyone wanna check these for Eastern Equine Encephalitis??

Sunday afternoon, packed and ready to go. BTW - those OEM roof bars are pretty nice, but yes, a bit noisy on the highways...

Overall, a great trip, 4 hours from the FOrt to my driveway, including the ferry ride and two "potty" stops on the way. The car and the RNS-E navigation worked flawlessley, and in the end I was glad that I took the car instead of the truck. Avg was 19MPG (manual calculation at fillups), computer said 19.5MPG. Still not too bad.

Car is running great! No complaints yet...
other than the gas mileage, which is only slightly worse than the 2.7T.
All the gadgets are working fine, and I am REALLY enjoying it! Haven't seen you around town lately...did you move???

I did not field (daddy-duty) but I did take some pics of the tactical...
the Crown forces were just too strong for the Continental forces and militia.
I think the highlight was the canon fire on Saturday night after 9PM. Jr. Driver was alseep, then all the canon let loose, ripple fire for the next 15 minutes. Fun time, and believe it or not, the little guy slept right through it!

Nice photos. Love that drive, we always enjoy the Fort Ti ferry (even have t-shirts), and I know exactly where that Stop sign is.
