GM is putting on an event at Foxboro Stadium this weekend for people to test out GM cars and then compare them to Mercedes, Lexus, BMW, etc. So there will be a lot of cars there and the event is FREE. They will provide refreshments, etc.
Minimum age requirement is 18 to drive and a valid drivers license. Stay as long as you want and such...seems like a cool place to go if you got nothing better to do and check it out!

Re: I'm in on saturday 3pm
I went and spoke with a fellow AW NE guy with an A6 4.2in silver. I think he's a firefighter. The tracks are absurdly brief, and getting the GTO over 30mph was impossible. If you screech tires, they snip your wristband and you won't go to the fast track where the C6, and CTS-V are. There you have a silent instructor in the passenger seat who is about to toss his cookies from hours of 0-80 in 2nd gear, and then braking from 80 to 0 . Only worth the trip if you hate dealerships as much as I do.

i went on friday. i wouldn't say it was that bad..
the tracks are brief. especially the "performance" track where the c6 & cts-v are. but you get so much seat time (over all) and drive so many cars that it is fun.
it seemed like this year they are more strict than last. i was told even the performance track was designed for safety.
there was a jackass staff worker on the passenger track. he was just unreasonable. the guide_video said to keep the speeds at a safe limit to have control at all times. i was at 30mph, no tires screeching, in control and the guy waved for me to slow down. i was almost going to call up on his manager. what's the point of putting the GTO and cobalt SS on a track where this probably control freak stupid guy with mental issues & seemingly no understanding of speed from a standing position is distracting you and discouraging you from a test drive of what the car is intended for.
anywho.. i did see 1 person get ejected and that was because he spun the wheels in the staging area where there is a lot of people walking around. a guy in a saab spun the car off track and i think he went back on. i was rotating the rear with the GTO in a few corners and it seemed to have gone unnoticed.
keep the tire sounds to chirps here and there, and it'll go unnoticed. if you do lap after lap squeeling tires, they'll remember your face.
PS> i'll be there again saturday 8am - 1pm

tracks are brief and speed is not liked...
I didn't feel like sitting in the line to drive a corvette (at least a 2 hour wait) and yes, you couldn't get the GTO out of first gear, however they didn't clip my wrist band...i did a nice brake-stand in the middle of the track in the GTO and was squeeling the tires around corners in the Cadillac truck, but both times i just got a warning and they told me to slow it down a little...a fun event to go to nonetheless, however the GTO was the only one worth driving in my opinion (i went to this even last summer)

what day did you go?
sat morning the corvettes were practically idling most of the time until about afternoon.
i didnt like the pedals on the GTO at all. the foot rest was pretty much non existant. i accidentally stepped on the brake thinking it was the clutch.
