Bluetooth phone connection

Bluetooth phone connection
Hello all
Recently purchased an A6 Quattro 2012, great car and runs well after an initial glitch in the heating system!
The problem now is that my phone will not Bluetooth connect to the MMI, I get a message saying 'phone turned off because critical temperature reached' - This being the Audi phone system I presume
My phone will Bluetooth connect to the sound system with no problems, it's only a problem with the telephone connection
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
