Is there a prize on this forum for biggest idiot? I have a 98 Cabriolet and I’m dealing with the unfortunate leaking heater rad. I disassembled the entire interior and diligently placed all the parts in the boot. Yes this includes the centre console housing the folding roof button. Well if you have a cabriolet you know that to boot has a safety feature preventing the boot from being opened until the roof has completed its function. The solution is to cycle to roof… but this idiot put the button in the boot. Does anyone know if there is a way to override the safety system? Or even better can anyone tell me how to bridge the wiring harness that the button plugs into? If I can ‘hot wire’ this I’ll come right. I’ve seen options to access the boot from the ski port, but if you recall my boot is FULL. Ha ha ha, not!
