Coming here made me realize I'm a car noob. I bought a 2018 A6 Sport 3.0T a few weeks back and wanted to ask a question in the appropriate area. How do I know which version my vehicle is? C6, C7, or C8?

It's not out in the open, but if you go into the forum for each of the versions, you'll see something like this at the top that tells you model years that it applies to:

Although even that's now wrong, and there's a C8 that says this:

Estreet

And some will refer to the 2018 as a C7.5 or C7 post-facelift. If you see this, you are in the C7.5 group and post-facelift.

The others are years 2012-2015 (in general)
