Greetings all,

I bought my wife an A4 avant quattro about a year ago and it has given us nothing but problems ever since it hit our driveway. The latest and most extensive issue is that the turbocharger/turbohousing (I believe those are the same thing?) is cracked and has rendered our vehicle immobile because we could lose the turbo seal and that would be a major issue for the engine. Does anyone have any experience replacing these? Is it something that is worth getting a used/after market part for? Our shop is quoting us $2k for a new one before labor and that seems like a bit too much for me since I can seemingly find them very easily for less than half of that online (https://www.turbochargerpros.com/buy...iABEgIAKfD_BwE).

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
