You've got the bug.. but then I think we never lose it no matter how grown up and sensible (supposedly) we get.
I get you completely.. I don't think there's one car (I'm talking daily drivers) that there's not something I'd want to change. I love the S4.. it was an unplanned purchase and my dream car is actually a RS4, which I obviously cannot afford. But, when I first saw the S4 on the forecourt, I wasn't blown away or excited by it. I knew what it was and what it was capable of, but it still looked quite ordinary to me.
However, when I considered what I could do with it and for not a lot of money, that's when my interest level started to spike. And I've already started (looks first, performance later) - like you I'll be in for a few grand. But then, we love it.. don't we??
Personally I like the 2021 SQ5 - the restyling reminds me of the 8R, but with a modern take. In between, for me at least, they were too squared off for my taste. You've got a splendid automobile and I look forward to seeing what you do with it.

New member here, just bought a 2024 Q5 Premium Plus a couple of days ago. It's our first Audi, lots to learn. I do my own mechanical work within limits, but during the warranty I'm assuming that it will go to the Dealer. I'm hoping that it's a trouble free and reliable car, we've had pretty good luck with new cars over the years.

I'm new here! Just picked up a 2001 A6 Allroad 2.7T and am in the process of tracking down some leaks. Love the car, and looking forward to interacting with you all.
