New Member 94 Audi S4 USA
Hello everyone, New to the Audi 5cyl platform. 1994 Audi S4 Quattro (5speed) Smaragdgruen Pearl with black interior (214,500 mi). Car has been through a lot and I am trying to figure out all of its issues. I appreciate everyone help and insight.
Current issue is when I have a passenger (right side of car / right front) and they rest their feet by the ecu (motronic) my idle will go up to 2000rpm, not only that the next time I go to start the car, it will turn over but not start. When this does happen, I move the carpet and jiggle the mounting bracket for the ecu & fuses and then it will start. I do know that the previous owner installed a 034 stage 1 chip, maybe a few of the pins on the harness plug did not seat properly. There is a solenoid back behind the ecu that has a vacuum/boost reference hose coming out of it and going into the motronic ecu. I imagine its not supposed to flop around like that.
