Hi, I am UK based, in the north west and have owned a 2004 plate A4 Avant 1.9 tdi for the last 4 years.
It's a good car, if a little tired at just short of 235k miles and has niggles appropriate for the age and mileage.
However, tonight it's thrown me a curveball, that has brought me here.
Went out with the family, car was fine. When we got back to the car, opened it from the keyfob, got in and fired it up. I then realised the interior light hadn't gone out but all doors were closed. Then went on to discover that the electric windows don't operate, the door mirrors don't respond l, the door mounted switches aren't illuminated and the central locking no longer works.
Checked fuses but weirdly none of these functions appear to be tagged to fuses.
Common denominator here is the doors, so I'm guessing that's where the fault lies but would appreciate any pointers as to where to start looking.
