Default Great writeup and nice work for being a 1st timer or a very technical track

Sears point is my favorite track though I haven't been on it since '02 I think. Lots of changes since then, but I don't think the lines have changed, but a bit safer specially from 7 to 9

Amazing how fast Steve appeared through your rear view before the hair pin and wham passed on the front straight

Default You may find it very different since '02

My first times through the esses I'm subconsciously looking for the hills and going "just where the heck am I?" Very disconcerting.

And the setup for Turn 2 is all different - the curve up is sharper cause the main straight is ~10 yards to the left of where it used to be. What used to be a reasonably easy left is much harder. Took my mind a long time to adjust cause visually it doesn't look that much different and I'm a slow learner. :-) And makes me really appreciate the Pobsts and John/TSRs and NASA Racers who figure out new tracks so quickly.

A few bushes that used to brush my left mirror are gone.

All in all, the changes are much safer and "let the NASCAR fans see" improvement. Just took me a long time to feel confident again. Still working on 2&4 but the rest felt o.k.

I forget if I took Dean out Sat or Sunday but I was much faster on Sunday.

Default thx! I lifted 4 Steve...

Saw him coming out of T11 as I was entering T12, and he was coming up quick in my mirror. Gave him the pass signal early so he knows he could stay on the pwr. Saw the amt of straight in front was dwindling fast, thus decided to lift to get him by quickly.

Default It was all smoke and mirrors

He was only doing 20 mph when I passed him. :-)
