the place was packed with young urban professionals, and to my unofficial unprofessional count, the ladies to gents ratio was something close to 3:1. Too bad I was already claimed for teh evening. Wines tonight weren't spectacular, but they weren't bad either. The good majority of wines came from the Cold Creek area just north of Napa, and had stronger tanins. Most of the wines were Zins, but there were a few standout petit syrahs and a pinot or two. The cabs tended to be a bit one dimensional, but a bit more time on the shelf could remedy that issue (eldest one was an '05). There were also a few stanout whites (chard and Sav. Blanc, but priced a bit too high for what they were.
