Need info ASAP
I have a 99 A4 1.8TQ. On Sunday I stoped at the light and all of the sudden my check engine light started blinking and the car, at the same time, developed a rough idle. I felt like it was running on 3 cylinders. I ended up parking it overnight, and when I came back the rough idle was gone and the light stoped flashing, but is now lit.
Could anyone suggest what the ... is going on with the car? Any info would be appreciated.

Tough to say... ask in the A4 forum, or take it into a dealer to check out!
Someone might have a VAG tool near to where you're located also... They can try to diagnose the problem...

spark plug connector - underneath the "coil pack" About $16 I believe
You can buy one from the dealer and replace one at a time until the problem disappears - or better yet, find someone with a VAG tool and replace the broken one the 1st time
