So the dealer wants $209 for an 80k mi service. Is this acceptable or am I wasting my money? Should

I try an independent shop for my service? I am just afraid they will not perfom all that needs to be done according to Audi for the 80k service. I have yet to look in the manual to see all that is performed, but if it is just an oil change, then this a little much. My 70k service was around $129 iirc. Any input is appreciated.

Go for a decent independent shop, the Dealer isn't doing anything special.

BTW: You've changed the timing belt right?

Go to the Bentley Publishers website

and download the Audi Maintenance Schedules that correspond to your car model and year.

Cross reference the 80K column to the list of items to be done and show it to the independent shop and tell them that's what you want performed - no more, no less.
