been years for me, but I loved Kirkwood, For your same reasons, might add Best snow.......

met Clint Eastwood in the liftline. 8-)

i love kirkwood as well.....

the lines are not as bad as the other resorts...love all the open space!

had a season pass there for 2 seasons..

thing is, sometimes it's so hard to get to...not as convenient as the other resorts like heavenly, sierra, and northstar...

but i guess if you want a convenient resort, you'll have to deal with the lift lines.

I hear that, 88 can be like driving in a tunnel for 30 miles when the snow is deep.

Alpine
Kirkwood
Homewood
Incline Village
Boreal Ridge
Sugar Bowl
Sierra Ski Ranch
Heavenly Valley
Mt Rose
Bear Valley
Dodge Ridge
Mammoth Mountain
Mt Baldy

I am not sure I have a favorite. I would tend to stay away from Heavenly..due to crowds. I would recommend Alpine or Sierra.

BTW, I have also been to:

Taos Mountain
Vail
Breckenridge
MaryJane (Winter Park)
Geneva Basin
Loveland Basin
Loveland Valley
Keystone
Copper Mountain
Beaver Creek
Snowbird
