Default I have a generic one that will work on any car.

It attaches to the trunk lid. But since they're cheap maybe easier just to pick one up at local bike store ?

http://www.orsracksdirect.com/hollywood-bike-racks.html</a

Is that stable at highway speeds? How do you like it?

Default OK on an old Honda but it will scuff your paint, and on my last car even dented the bumber cover.

Also in the mirror with 2 bikes on, you can see the thing wobbling around in a very alarming manner, particularly at speed.

Default Like it. Works well, doesn't scratch paint. Tested with long runs in tripple digits with two bikes

Make sure to position it carefully, and use bungee cords to hold down everything secure.

Note : with any bike rack you have to be careful no get the tires near the exhaust pipes. It will melt the rubber at high speeds.

Default I've used mine for 7 years, on 4 cars with neither of those issues

Must be that pos japanese paint job ?

It's important to strap bikes down using bungee cords.

Default Quite possibly! It was a G35 coupe actually. The bumper cover would cave in

where the pads pressed, and take ages to spring back when the rack was removed.
