nice pics.... but everyone's driving on the wrong side of the road;-)
BTW, I just read a piece on MSN that the dorian is banned from hotel rooms in most of Asia and they ionize the room for hours if someone snuck one in. Send me one - I'd like to try one

I've almost gotten used to that now;-)
Durian is vile. It's banned from many public places. Hubby loves it. When we first went there, he would mention smelling it, but I could not detect anything fruity smelling - just something like a car leaking gas. So eventually when his Dad went out and bought a nice ripe example and put it in the garage, I started to figure out what it was. But everybody said it smelled worse than it tasted - so I tried - twice. Even the thought years later makes my stomach heave. Custardy in texture, that is the only pleasant thing about it. Tastes like rotted bananas and meat rubbed into greasy oil and ggas stains on the garage floor and then scopped up for consumption. Ugh!
Go visit your local Asian grocery store. They often have the freeze dried sealed stuff. It's a pale imitation of the real deal, but all you're going to get here.
