i believe it was due to a power surge while the machine was in use.
the 2 different service guys that examined it said it could be 1 of 2 things:
1. Speed Control ($40 part)
or
2. Full Board ($200 part)
the machine is over $700 brand new. i figured if anyonoe wants it can do so for $50. parts alone would probably cost more. even the metal alone would cost more...=)
