Default Do you guys in NJ pump your own gas anyway?

Im going to start doing it myself. Im sick of these service guys chatting on their phone in another language paying no attention to what we tell them.

Last night before edge i clearly told the guy $30 SUPER while he was blabbering on the phone. I look over right as he walks away and its on regular. I had to go take it out and select premium myself.

Anyone else have similar experiences here?

I insist on pumping my own gas, b/c they always spill it all over around the gas cap area..

Default Always the same thing....don't expect great service from a guy who is getting paid peanuts....

I specially like the part when they spill the last drops over the car when removing the nozzle....

Because I live conveniently next to a Shell, the first few times when they did that I took a picture right on the spot while they were present..............usually you'll get some sort of "what's this all about?" - evidence for Shiva so he'll see the damages you've done in this life :-)

Default I usually get out of the car and just hover to make sure they pushed the right button...

If the attendants are not around when the pump stops, I'll remove it myself and print out my own receipt and drive off.

Default The other day after filling the car, the guy pulls out the nozzle and pours gas all over my hood. I

had just washed my car and have to do it again this weekend. (The filler cap is in the front).

From now on I am doing it.

Default I always get out and supervise and never let them "top it off"

yeah it's only 10 or 25 cents, but none of it goes into your tank. Once it's full, it' full, the rest goes back into the hose.

Plus I always charge gas, what do I care if my bill is $53.32 as opposed to $53.50

I rarely let them even touch my cars. If they insist on doing it, I babysit. Otherwise, I do it.
