Default IDLE PROBLEM

I have a 2000 2000 A-4 1.8TQ 5 speed. When I start the car it idles fine. When the AC / defroster is turned on & the compressor is engaged it hunts for idle. Watching the tach it moves back & forth between 850 & 950 rpm's. The car is equipped with an MTM chip, Milltek / Stratmosphere exhaust & the exhaust manifold has been Extrude Honed & Jet Hot coated. The throttle body was cleaned to no avail & a new throttle body was installed & the problem presists. Has anyone had this problem? Any advice or suggestions appreciated.

this is the first time i have ever read through this CT/NY/NJ forum, but I just posted a thread on the B5 forum regarding the same problem. I dont know what it is and I have yet to make any mods. Hopefully people will respond on that forum. I have 65000 on mine, you?

Default Re: Coincedence...I'm Finding More Folks....Same Problem

Yoo Kuts, I've gotten a number of replies from people with the same problem. It has my mechanic stumped & he dosen't stump easy. One reply had the same MTM chip as I have & he had Hoppen update / reprogram the chip & all was well. My 2000 A-4 has 46,000....will post whatever we find out. My guy is talking to every tuner he knows....coast to coast. Stay tuned.....this stuff makes me nuts because it ran perfectly until now.
