Default K04 Carnage...Borg Warner Wont Warranty It. I'm extremely pissed off. $1150 down the drain. (BWW)...

Here are pictures of the K04 that **** the bed after 2 minutes when my car was put back together initially. Borg Warner is giving me all this nonsense and bull**** and they have come to the conclusion and they wont fvcking warranty it.

I hate to curse off like this but its ridiculous what they are telling me. I don't know WTF to do.

Their excuse is that "they were not pre-lubed on initial start up". Which is total crap obviously.

What should I do? Onto the pics, and yes boys and girls..the SHAFT IS BROKEN IN HALF! This whole thing happened in less than 2 minutes!

Just think about the abuse these things go under at Stage 3 and they're giving me this crap. I'm speechless.

Default Maybe this is a shot in the dark but...

Is it possible that whoever did the work could call Borg Warner and explain what happened? I'm sure you didn't use some backyard mechanic (I think it was Sal@elite but I'm not sure) and he therefore has lots of experience. I'm wondering if its possible for him to explain what happen. They obviously shouldn't break like that so soon...Sorry man

Default Wow Kai I'm sorry to hear that man...I'm sure you will get it resolved eventually but I do agree

with Matt in that you should try to have your mechanic speak with BW as I'm sure he might have more pull with them.

It's worth a shot.

This is a real bummer and I hope it gets resolved in the proper manner.

Default We tried everything, its just pure bull**** what they're giving us. Here is their response...

"The shaft was intact and rotating properly when it experienced a lack of lubrication. We know this by the location of the bronze journal bearing traces and extreme blueing on the shaft. After melting the inside of the journal bearing the shaft the wheels contacted the housings and snapped the shaft at the shoulder. With no clamping force on the compressor nut it spun off the threads of the shaft."

Oh please..loads of HORSE ****

Default Sal spoke with Avalon MS (so did I 5 times). It is between me and Borg Warner now not Avalon.

Brian tried to do w/e he could, Borg Warner are being sissies.

I'm debating if I should make this a big deal or not, w/o causing any harm to Avalon and ofcourse Sal.

$1150 LOL..I don't have the turbo. Sal sent it in to get "analyzed" for me when I was in Germany
