Suggestion, threaten to sue.......seriously

and apologies, I am the last one to even use the verbiage "lawsuit", however, one would be suprised how soon companies will react to such a note coming from you(r attorney).

Sorry to hear about this situation, following this closely, as I am about to purchase KO4s myself....

I think I would make it a big deal. I'm under the assumption that Sal has done many of these upgrades so this would not be something new to him. It seems fairly evident that it failed under its own power. I suggest you follow what Teh Goldie mentions up above, if not in a letter, at least call and try again, and at the end mention that you'll "talk to your lawyer" and maybe that will get them to refund it. I mean Borg Warner is a big company so I don't think $1150 makes that much of a difference. And Brian is a good guy as is his company so I trust that he took whatever steps possible to get it resolved

"2 min" and that shaft is BLUE and has Embedded traces of brass in it ....

Yup, excessive heat build up. But, could everything we see in the pictures have been caused ........

by a defective bearing or shaft which caused the resulting carnage that we see in the pics? If the bearing or shaft let loose, it could have jammed everything up, producing what we see in the pics. It's just a thought, giving the benefit of the doubt to the installer.
