Default New BMW X6 Twin Turbo V8 at the shop..

Man I am not a big fan of the styling on this thing. But that engine is a freaking beast. Just repairing a couple of nicks on the rear bumper, and replacing the lower valences. With some tuning that thing is going to obscene

Yea those things sound nasty at cold start too, we got to take a look at what they do at BMW tech school. Apparently, on cold start, the timing is so advanced on the exhaust side that the flame front heats the cats alone. So they allow the explosion to escape. Did you happen to see the placement of the turbos? In the middle of the v, so the motor "runs backwards" Intake manifold is on the outside, exhaust in the middle. Crazy **** those ***** think of ha

yep, and they also think of a million ways your new $60k vehicle can end up in the shop for weeks at a time! unfortunately, i know first hand (3 bimmers in the family, over the last 5 years)
