Default Wheel bend question. places to get bent wheels fixed? is this one repairable?

new owner of my RS4 reps took this damaged one to Wheels America on Long Island. They said the bend was unrepairable.
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/54049/rs4_bend.jpg">
this had been looked at a long time ago by someone who had experience and they said it should be fixable.
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/54049/rs4_bend2.jpg">
the bend is on both the inner and outer edge of the wheel. opinions on if it;s repairable?
where should I tell the guy to go to get a second opinion??

Thanks

Moto

Default think about it....would you risk your life on a wheel that failed once and was then repaired...

even if it could be done....the cosmetic look would only make it LOOK safe...as much as it sucks dont risk a blowout and get a new wheel...

Yikes... with a hit like that I'd look for serious suspension damage

Default not mine anymore

a B6'er in brooklyn is going to use these for his winters b/c they clear his bbk.

he bought them knowing the damage and the risk. I'm just trying to help him get them fixed.

Default yup, when you bend aluminum, the molecules separate, so bending over and over agian will

make the piece weaker each time it bends. However, there is a way to use heat and minimize that.
