Default Auto Body or Mechanic? Driver Door Lock Mechanism Failure 2006 A3

The door lock acutuator on my '06 A3 has died - meaning I can not arm the alarm without using the key in the door to physically lock the door. Even then, when turning the key, it feels loose, almost like it's sliding around.

I'm looking to get it fixed, but I'm not sure if it would be less expensive to get a mechanic to do it or take it to an auto body shop. Several other things going on include the fan for my heater quitting (again, previously fixed by cleaning debris out of the fan) and the back window wiper quitting.

Are these types of fixes better for a body shop or a mechanic. Also, any recommendations for the seattle area would be appreciated.

Give Erik at IPM auto in Redmond a call... He does good quality work for a fair price.
