Default Auto dimmed rearview mirror is not working...

Does anyone know what might be the problem and how to fix it? Is replacement the only choice? Thanks.

Default Try posting this on the forum specific to your car and I bet you get some good responses

You don't mention model so it's tough to help but the first thing that needs to be checked is whether you have power at the mirror.

Good luck

Default I solved mine through replacement. If it's dead, that's the only solution.

It's easy to do -- you can install it yourself.

Default If you can see the lcd liquid it's done. There is a slight chance it could be some relay or fuse,

but I doubt it. The replacement is expensive too.

Did you get the replacement from dealer? Is the instruction on owner's manual?

The car is 01. A6 2.7T.

See if you have power at the #1 terminal and Ground at #2. If you do I would question the mirror

Default Mine came from ECS Tuning, but you should check the dealer.

The install is very quick, so they may not charge you much to handle it.

If you decide to do it yourself, ECS tuning sells them, and you should also check with carson@riversideaudi.com

I found instructions by searching the archives.
