Default Was at Barrier today getting some warranty work done. The daytona gray RS4 they have on the floor is

one amazingly hot car. The car looks so much nicer in person, pictures don't give it full justice.

They also had a real nice looking B6 S4 Avant MT in Dolphin Grey out front. Think it was an '04 or '05, and had low to decent mileage on it. Thought the asking price was a little high, but I do understand that finding any used manual Avants is hard, let alone one that is an S4.

Talked to a salesman for a bit. He brought up the subject of the R8, so I quizzed him about what the interest level has been. He said they have a waiting list of over 30 people for it right now, and when/how they figure out who the lucky ones are after Jimmy Barrier, they'll be asking for a $30K deposit. At that moment, I pulled my wallet out...looked in it....put it back in my pocket...and proceeded to walk out to my Dodge Neon courtesy car.

Default Park and I detailed a black RS4 last week...black. absolutely stunning.

It had a miltek exhaust too... sounded most excellent.

Saw one at University Audi when my car was in for service (100K). Saw a nice RS6 there as well.

I'm surprised you still go to the dealer. I bet they shat themselves on the test drive ;-)

Default I bought my S4 new there, so I get a free loan car. I used to put my stock ECU in for service, but

am not comfortable with that and different injectors/MAF housing, so I left ASP Stage 3 ECU in.

Gotta like the free loaner. Redmond European does that now for certain services too.
