one last bash before quattro weather comes back. I'm hosting the 1st annual Aldergrove Audi BBQ/gtg
and people from here are invited to show up & hang out.
This is all scheduled to go down for Saturday, September 4. Anytime after Noon should be good, and whether permitting we can have a fire at night.
For anyone who'd be there for Noon, I wouldn't mind organizing a short hour long cruise out the valley. There are some pretty good twisty areas not far from my place, and I think it would be pretty nice. Would also give everyone the opportunity to possibly hook up with cheap gas =) but I'm playing that by ear, based on how many cars would go. So if that interests you speak up!
Anyhow yea, it's a BBQ so you need to bring whatever you'd like to eat.... same goes for drinks. There is a Save-On-Foods & a liquor store just across the line on the way to my place, and pizza joints & restaurants for whoever wants to hookup that sorta thing. I also have a pool & hotub that will be open for us to enjoy, so don't forget swim things. My property also has a large rear yard/nice field which I figured could be used as a parking/show area if I can garner a good turnout. Anybody who is concerned about driving home later is encouraged to bring a tent or tarp or whatever & are more than welcome to camp out the night in the field (that goes for locals aswell)
So now, everyone who doesn't live in Vancouver is wondering "where the hell is Aldergrove?" Well yes it's in B.C., and my place is about 10-15min North of the border. Here's the street address:
24690 52ave
Langley, B.C.
V2Z-1E2
i figure you all can Mapquest the addy yourselves, although I will be posting a couple route maps w/store locations as the date gets a bit closer. Basically you get onto I5 and follow the signs that say "North, Vancouver"...
I think that's all for now... I'll post more about it in the coming weeks, however since I've now committed the date I figured I'd see who'd actually show. As I said at the top everyone is welcome, even if I don't know you (chances are you don't know me either) this is the perfect opportunity to make some new friends.
Just remember that it'll be kinda boring if it's just me + 2 others sitting around, so for sure the more the merryer. Thanks guys, if you can make it that's wicked, and if not Shame On You! =P j/k
check yah later
