Default Yeah, well. Mine met an untimely demise in 1976.

It had an encounter with some carpet roles hanging out the back of a van on I 280 in San Jose on the way to an early morning class. Merging, check left, crunch. Looks up: Van is pulling away. Sigh.

No offense, but I'd rather drive the S4 on the track than any Ford. (maybe I'd drive the GT40)

Maybe someday, but it's out in the future a ways.

What do you mean? You don't have an S4? Or, your waiting to improve before you'll drive the S4?

Default Uh. I mean I'm going to wait for the value of the car to decline to the point where...

...I can stomach the financial ramifications of my portly girl spinning and plowing into the wall coming out of turn 9 at Kent. Plus I will have gotten a good, eh, 10 years of happy use out of the thing!

Default First I don't like to refer to PR as in "Kent". It just makes it sound bad. Also,

Turn 9 is going to be less dangerous this year, drive the S4.

Default I say Kent, because...

I am prone to typos. It is shorter than Pacific Raceways for both spoken and written communication (I always have to backspace and fix a typo) and it is clear to me. I also get confused with PR because some people refer to it as PRI (which I do not understand at all), others still call it SIR (which is probably the most easily distinguished abbreviation), or plain PR. With Portland being PIR, I am prone to making typos or misread something. I have one friend who shall remain unnamed that I sometimes think is dyslexic (j/k). He/she/it (to protect that unnamed individual) loves to invert letters in abbreviations (I think for fun) much to my consternation. Hah! So you see, it's all mental for me. Furthermore: Waz wron wid Kent, mang?

Default Re: My toy car.

Very nice! It should be very stiff now. I'm looking forward to seeing it again. I might have to hit you up for a ride, if you don't mind the extra weight.

Sounds good. You drive a white Porsche, yes?

Default Oh, Portland. Fun to drive with that group.

Most drivers are not that fast/aggressive, but there are a few that are well beyond fast. I found it best to drive with the fastest group. And of course, many of the porsches simply don't make as much as power as a modded S4.

PCA PDX events seem to be on Fridays.
