Default Peace out PNW!

I'm off to Italy tomorrow for the next few months, won't be home until mid May. Study abroad FTMFW! Gonna be living in Florence and I plan on traveling a bunch. Any recommendations for destinations?

Default Florence is a great city for Michelangelo's work. While in Italy, you should also visit...

Venice, Roma, and Naples (Almalfy Drive (sp?) is great). Except for Naples, I've visited each of these cities and enjoyed all of them. Other destinations outside of italy include Munich (Duesch Museum, BMW Museum, and Audi HQ is in nearby Ingalstat). Austria and France are also not too far, as is Slovenia and Croatia from the former Yugoslavia (I worked in Slovenia for 3 months right after Tito's death).

While in Italy, be careful to stay out of the legal system, e.g. current trial of West Seattle woman student for murder. Enjoy!

Default Don't skimp. It's a once-in-a-life thing... do everything you can... I spent 6 months in NZ and went

all out. One of the best times of my life. Luckily the kiwi dollar was weaker than the US$... you'll be facing intense exchange rate troubles, but I recommend spending the extra buck to do whatever it is that comes up... it's worth it.

And take tons of photos. While a little lame at the time, I worked dilligently to compile a scrap book, writing stories around all the photos. It's only been 6-7 years, but I've already forgotten a lot, so it's awesome to go back and see the photos and read the stuff to remind me. (I guess there's facebook now for all that though

Default definitely, thank god the exchange rate came down though...

when i was planning the trip, it was 1.6 dollars to the euro and now its down to 1.32. not much different, but still better.
