Even those few tools you mentioned....I have none of them. Seriously, I am the least knowledgable car person you have ever met. If you need help picking NFL games straight-up, I'm your guy.....car stuff, I've got a checkbook and can order beer and pizza!!!
But, the antifouler mod sounds like the way to go so we don't have to find anybody with welding skillz.

IMO, the best way is to get the shop to sign off on the idea first
We can talk on Wednesbeerday about the specifics of how I've seen them run elsewhere if you want to propose that to Brian. If he agrees, there's no reason that the Audi Club can't give their stamp of approval and publicize it. It works out to an incredible membership benefit that I use almost every time (when it's available).
