No..I didn't race the turbo cars.
But the track was terrible, the grip stuff they have on the concrete is just stupid. The karts handle like poop and the electric thing..I'm sorry..it just sucks. Off throttle should slow you down.
I have given them a chance..they have a top notch operation.
If you want to go party and drive around I guess it's ok.
If you want to go and drive and RACE, then Champs isn't the place.
Sykart is SO much better it's not even funny.

Oh and Champs will up and tell you...
...you're not racing. You're shooting for best time.
Sykarts lets you RACE. No bumping of course...you have to use that "open wheel spacing" technique (some bumping is unavoidable) but you can have a blast there truly racing.
A small price to pay for no beer.

Regarding the 6.5hp karts
They are nothing like the 9hp JBKarts Sykart has, but they are brand new and have WONDERFUL seats in them. They have good power and since they're all new, they are pretty evenly matched.
They aren't JBkarts...they are another brand I was not familiar with.
The new karts do drive extremely well though.
The 9hp cars are a hoot.
