Yup, I had all my planning done by first week in Jan. this year.

GREAT hotel deals to be had this year, too. Headed to Portland for a song since it's on a Saturday for once.

Might sound dumb but the Melting Pot is a great spot. Dark and private, good for romantic meal.

Also good is El Goucho. The wife and I don't do V-day but we like the Met on our anniversary, especially if we can get up on the raised section in the back.

We just laugh when we hear all the crazy stuff people do and the amount of money they spend on a mass marketed consumer holiday.

Money does not equate to love. We'll spend $0 for valentine's, and I'll still get some ;P
