Sounds like one of the first local R8's recently got totaled. Hope driver ok...bummer about the car
and unfortunately with the wait list, the car wont be easily replaced.

If its the one I am thinking of, supposedly it was alcohol related, and almost killed the passenger.
Sideways at 120 into a pole/tree, pushed the passengers side in 18 inches...
If alcohol was involved, then I have no pity for him. Poor R8!
