Very impressive. You should check out the current Motor Trend for an eye opener...
Just for ****s and giggles, they gave 10 Primedia teams a $25k budget to build the best tuner vehicle they could... using only parts from Ebay Motors. They ended up with a 2000 VW GTI with a 4 motion tranny, modified VR6 engine with a Quaife 6 speed and a twin intercooled HPA turbo kit, KW INOX Coilovers, R32 brakes and more. They ended up with 425 hp that still got 25mpg. It bested (shamed is more like it) a BMW M3 SMG, Corvette Z06, Ferrari 360 Modena, Lambo Gallardo, Benz E55, Porsche GT2 and a WRX STi in all of the following categories - 0-60, 1/4 mile, 60-0, 100-0 and slalom time, all while babying a stock clutch. All this for under $25k and smooth enough to be a daily driver.
