1990 100 engine timing issue!!!
Someone, anyone please help me!!!
My Audi won't pass emissions because my timing is off. I can fix it myself but, I can't find the timing marks!!! How can I set this thing to TDC also? I can't get my hands on a manual for less than $135!?!

You can set it on TDC, by removing a spark plug number 1.
Insert a long thing screwdriver through the whole or a stiff piece of wire.
Make sure it site about center of piston.
slowly rotate engine by hand unit the wire is absolutly at its highest point on the compression stroke just after intake valve closes.
At this point should be TDC.
