Default 3-4 psi with APR chip, check engine light on

Hello,

I have a 2001 A4 1.8T, APR chip with stock and 93 Octane modes. The check engine light came on and my garage fixed one of the codes (Secondary Air Injection System Relay "A" Circuit". However, the light keeps coming on and is throwing the codes below. In general, the car is running fine (smoke test on the hoses revealed they were fine). However, the turbo never kicks in because I get a max of 3-4 psi in both stock and chip modes. It feels/appears like someone turned off my turbo. Perhaps one of the codes would put a limit on boost??????????

Has anyone had this problem before? My garage thinks the APR chip is the problem and needs to be reprogrammed. Any thoughts on that? I'm trying to figure out if I should persue error codes or contact APR and have them reprogram the ecu.

Here are the codes that are being thrown (maybe one of these could be the cause? my garage seemed to think everything was ok):

17523-P1115: O2 sensor, ___ circ, Bank 1, sensor 1
17523-P1114: UK comp
17511-P1103: O2 sensor, H+ circ, Bank 1, sensor 1
17833-P1425: Tank Vat(?) Value
17955-P1547: Boost Press Control Value
17525-P1117: O2 sensor ___ air, Bank 1, Sensor 1
17843-P1435: Sec. air ___ , sys(?) pump relay circ
17839-P1421: Sec. air injection value ____
17697-P1289: Turbo by pass value
17880-P1472: Evap emissions circ LDP
16486-P0102: Mass air flow - vol cinc(?)

Thanks in advance!

Default you are throwing all those codes and the garage thinks everything is ok?

I would get a new shop. I assume you are in limp mode which limits the boost. the codes would make me guess you have a bad O2 sensor. Maybe check the EVAP Pump (Leak detection pump). If you have an APR dealer in the area, it might not hurt to have them check the ecu just in case.

I don't know about the APR chip. You should call for help. I have REVO in my car and it works beautifully. I got it with Adam at www.wolfcars.com. Good luck!

Default I doubt a reflash of the ECU would accomplish anything.

If it is the ECU it is likely not the chip itself but you should be able to get anyone with an APR home programmer to re-install the program and eliminate that as an issue.

Those DTCs are most all electrical shorts to ground ... Did you have any service performed on the car that might have resulted in a wire bundle getting munched? Like the clutch changed, etc.?

You could also swap out the ECU with another '01 owner to see if it is a gunny ECU.

Default Problem was a blown fuse (#234)

Thanks to Brian's Gargage in Needham for getting to the bottom of the problem very quickly!
