Default 300whp 1.8t?

What's needed/how much $$$ would I be looking at to get a 1.8t A4 to 300whp?

I'm curious because I'm going to be buying a new car in the not-too-distant future, and I want awd and turbo. A Lancer Evolution or WRX are my other options, but I've always loved the A4, and the idea of a little more of a sleeper appeals to me.

Thanks in advance,
-Ben

Default Performance?

Thanks for the info! As for the ATP kit, what type of performance am I looking at? I mean, my friend has an Evo 8, and his car with just bolt-ons made 255whp on a Dyno Dynamics chassis dyno, and it feels frickin' fast! Any idea what type of 1/4 mile times, 0-60, highway pull, etc?

I've been in all manners of sports car before, (mkiv Supras, 3rd gen RX7's, twin turbo Z's,) but the Lancer Evo has really impressed me so far.

If I was to do the ATP kit, what else would I need? Ie: clutch or other drivetrain upgrades? What about suspension and brakes?

Basically, I am looking for performance of a tuned Lancer Evo, but in the nice A4 package.

Thanks again,
-Ben

Default you would also want...

a short shifter ~170
new suspension ~600 - ~1200
snub mount ~50
exhaust ~800
clutch eventually ~500
bumper to fit a fmic under ~500
turbo timer ~100
big brakes ~500 - ~2500
all this assumes a 97-01 A4 since nobody is making that kind of power in a 02-04 yet

Default Well, your not going to get the performance of a tuned Evo

from an A4. Even with 300 wheel hp. Its gonna tkae more than that.

Default lol, don't think evo is all magical becuae it's stock 2.0L with really big turbo..

it' got a 16g and an FMIC, more of the engine potential is just used up right out of the box.
