Default Making the car run leaner does not make more power. There is a fine line where too lean and too rich

both make the car run slower and make less hp. The only way they could get 40 hp is to tune it for cams and headers or to a full race fuel chip. We are looking to do the race chip that will pull out 20-30 more hp over a normal street chip.

Default I would be shocked if they could get 40 WITH

cams and headers. The only way I could see it is if they used a super-high lift cam and lost ALL of the bottom end (and still lied).

Default We will find out soon. I know I gained over 25hp and about 30 lbs of tq

running a chip with more adv timing for race fuel and the same boost level in my 1.8t.

Default I am talking about just changing the adv timing for a higher octane fuel nothing else.

But like I said we will find out soon.

Default 30 ft/lbs. with timing???

That is pretty shocking. So what happened, the knock sensor backed the timing to full retard??? Or the static map was very, very conservative?
