Default 6500rpm fuel cut off on apr v3.0 chip?

peer pressure caused me to take it to the ~7100rpm redline common on aftermarket chips .. welp. to my surprise i felt a *VERY* noticable loss of power ~6500rpms.

rpms continues to rise but i let off the gas after about 200 or so more rpms. i was in 3rd. running apr v3 + catback.

?????

shed light plz. =b

Default Well I dont think it is the fuel cut off you felt. If you hit that the car will just stall, which is

not a nice feeling. You probably just went past the hp peak and boost starts dropping like a rock after 5500 rpms.

Default Hey Charlie any news on the pipe or the turbo kit. I am hoping to have a pipe or race cat on my car

this week so I can see if it gets rid of the limp code I get.

Default probably pinging and ECU dialed your timing down, try it again with higher octane gas and

colder ambient temps

Default ? huh

are you getting it from EVO?
i havent been there recently, so im not shure

but IMO you should get the cat, isin't it something like a 10,000$ fine for getting caught without one?

i bet it will fix your problem, thats probably why i havent gotten one yet

Default Well I dont think the cat you have on your car is street legal anyway. We are doing a high flow cat

that is street legal in every state. I will only use the test pipe for drag racing. What bpv are you using.

Default I've got the random cat, and it's 50-state legal....

Comes with the paperwork that says it is.
The only thing I don't like is that it has a 2.25" outlet. I would prefer a 2.5", but I don't think it will be a huge factor with a K03.
A 2.5" outlet would be nice on anything larger than a K03.

If I have time this weekend, I may try and weld on a larger outlet and fab a 2.5" downpipe. I've got some mandrel bends and pipe (not stainless steel though)
