Default A4 Quattro 'chip'

Does anyone have any experience chipping a new A4 Quattro 2.8L 5V V6 (190hp) Tiptronic car? What brand; performance realized; did you do a trans chip?, etc. Thanks for any input

Default Re: A4 Quattro 'chip'

I know its not exactly the same vehicle but I chipped the ECU and Tiptronic on my 99 A4 1.8tq. I went with the GIAC chips and so far I am very happy. There is a BIG difference between stock and chipped performance. My car is a lot more enjoyable to drive. The difference in the transmission is more subtle however. Theoretically the time in between shifts is shortened but the only major difference I found was the time spent in gear. After the Tip chip the transmission shifts later allowing you to rev higher in each gear.
I know I can't talk about the 6 cylinder performance but for the 4 cylinder engines it is definitely worth it. If you have any other questions feel free to email me.
