Default All righty then - here is what I am doing for more fuel

I bought 30lb (312cc) Bosch injectors today. I am going to move back down to the 4 bar FPR to moderate the increase in fuel.

Wett will probably have to modify the WOT injector timing to less than 16.32ms.

I will datalog it and post the results some time this weekend.

Default Just remember that at WOT the ECU cannot adjust fuel.

Whatever Wett originally programmed in, that's what you'll get at WOT. The ECU can only adapt at partial throttle. This means that you might require a new chip or an adjustable FPR to get the most of your injectors.

Default Please check this if it is right

WOT fuel is determined by:

Fuel pressure
flow rate of the injectors.

I always thought the way to get best tuning in FI motors was to choose a fuel injector that can flow the full amount of fuel you are going to use at max power/revs at less than a 90% duty cycle, given the pressure your pump can produce. You then can tweak it by adjusting fuel pressure with the FPR until you get the mix right (slightly rich of stoichiometric, just in case).

Once WOT is handled then you program the duty cycles of the injectors via the ECU for all other conditions, based on the flow rate and fuel pressure established as right for WOT conditions.

At least that's what we did...

Am I on course here?

Default I would think that the air temp sensor also comes into play for fuel delivery at WOT...

however what you pointed out is true at least I know for sure in NA cars. floor it, throttle position sensor says go, WOT fuel is based in preprogrammed values based on rpm and the MAF is ignored (poor dude). On turbo cars, I believe the temp sensor is there for compensation, and is a key player in timing adjustment also.

Default The MAF is definately not ignored on our cars...

since boost pressure is calculated from the MAF signal.

Default But Bosch says it is at WOT, then again, my Bosch book is publish in mid 90's.

I agree that the boost is derived from MAF and should come into play. I just haven't read anything that says it does. Time to update my library
