Blown K03 on a 97 a4 auto. Would it be worth the extra money
to replace it with a K04?
Stats:
1997 a4 1.8TQ auto
80,000 miles
Stock exhaust
Neuspeed 1.0 bar chip
It's a pretty open ended question but i'm unsure how significant the power gain would be on an automatic. I can't seem to find anyone with one installed on this setup.

I'd go K04. You'll have a little more lag that way, but have more up top.
I THINK it'll run slightly cooler and it should be more durable than the K03. I don't know the details of how or why, just what I've heard. I'm sure some of the other guys here will chime in soon with a more educated opinion.
How much more would the K04 be?

the K04 is about 2x as expensive. Depending on where you get it (Greed Speed in my case) it would be $1600 compared to $750 for a new K03.

ST-115's: I also have them on my Flix TDR's . . .
I find them a very good tire, but not great. However, you get what you pay for--you could pay double the price for a better performing tire, but all of us must make mod decisions weighing the good with the bad.
They do run pretty quietly--as advertised. They perform very well, but not as good as some of the more expensive tires I have owned. They appear to have a half decent tread life--so far. All-in-all, a very good ownership experience. Would I get them again? Good question. So many new tires with cool technologies come out all the time--I have always enjoyed Bridgestone Potenzas as an upper-middle performance/commuting tire and they just came out with a new tire the RE750 that I would like to try out. I would not commute on the S-03's.
Truthfully, it depends what's out there at what price when I need to buy my next set of tires.
