Default borla/neuspeed vs apr catback - opinions?

i know there's been a lot of debate regarding the seemingly insignificant .25" difference in diameter between the 2 systems.

asking a few friends and going over what i know about fluids .. i still dont know. =b

is there any *REAL* comparable data or am i just picking away at nothing?

i'm planning a apr stage3/3+ upgrade in october when i drive by apr headquaters. should i just drop the $900 for that extra .25inches vs saving half that on a borla/neuspeed? the stage3 *was* developed using the apr system ..

i wanna save mooolah as much as anyone else .. but i wont cut corners just to save cash. =b

oh .. one last thing. which one is quieter/louder? that at least should be fact. =)

tia people. i'm gonna buy *SOMETHING* by the end of the week.

Default my answers....

if i were you, knowing that you are going stage III eventually, i would save for the apr. it is designed to work with the stage III and is a REAL high quality product. the apr, from what i have heard, is the quieter of the two systems. i have heard apr in person and it sounds very nice, subdued growl, but enough to perk your ears up without being loud. from what i have heard from others, the borla is a bit louder. bottom line: the apr is a higher quality product (maybe not $400 higher quality, but..) and it will work without any problems on a stage III. if there is one thing you should not skimp out on, its quality upgrades for your car. thats MHO.

Default That .25" makes a difference...

...you're talking about a ~20% increase in overall flow volume. Seth (UBER A4) has posted impressions regarding the two as he has had S3 w/ both the borla and the APR V3.0

May want to contact him since you are going the S3 route.

It is also reported that APR is quiter b/w the two.
